Your Guide to Finals Week – Spring 2017
Let’s face it. Finals week starts Monday and I’m sure you’re stressing out. Luckily, various organizations and departments around campus are offering ways to make the week easier with places to study, free food, fun, and games. Here’s what’s happening around campus:
Where to Study:
The HUB-Robeson Center will offer Quiet study rooms in the HUB all throughout finals week. Those who want a nice quiet place to study can head to Alumni and Heritage Hall to study along with outlets throughout the rooms for all your tech needs.
While you’re studying for finals in the HUB, be sure to grab free coffee courtesy of UPUA every night after 10 p.m.

In addition, Penn State Libraries will offer extended hours during finals week. Pattee Library and Paterno Libary will be open 24/7 starting Sunday until Thursday. MacKinnon’s Cafe will also see extended hours, staying open until 1 a.m. from Monday to Wednesday. To make it even better, the Blue Loop and White Loop will run until a little after 2 am. during finals week.
Of course, you can always study in your room, but that’s not as fun.
How to Relax:
The Student Programming Association (SPA) will host a “Relaxation Week” this week starting at 11 a.m. every day in the HUB. From aroma reeds to coloring to palm reading, SPA will provide a ton of neat ways to relax during this stressful week.

You can also distract yourself with bean bag toss boards, Wii games, and puzzles on the first-floor of the lobby all week.
In addition, HealthWorks will offer a De-Stress Zone with music, biofeedback programs and stress management books from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The branch libraries will also have some DeStress activities including origami projects and puzzles in the Architecture and Landscape Architecture Library and snacks and puzzles at the Fletches L. Byrom Earth and Mineral Sciences Library. All library DeStress information can be found here.
