Adobe Creative Cloud rolls out successfully at Penn State
Students on all Penn State campuses now have free access to the entire suite of Adobe Creative Cloud Apps. As of Monday, Sept. 18th, students and faculty can register for a free download of over 20 mobile and desktop compatible Creative Cloud Apps for Photoshop, web design, video production, and many more creative tools for all students.
To kick off the new software access, The Adobe Rollout Team took over the hub Monday. The team was in the Hub from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. getting students registered and conducting demos of the software’s latest features. Thousands of students stopped to register for the software while passing through the Hub, according to Senior Director of Teaching and Learning with Technology, Jennifer Sparrow.
Sparrow was an integral part in bringing Adobe Creative Cloud to Penn State’s campuses. “I hope students are super excited about this,” Sparrow said at the Hub takeover, “I hope they’re ready to figure out ways they can be creative and find out what’s next for them in their own digital fluency.”
With Adobe Creative Cloud, you can instantly access the latest Adobe creative apps, create anywhere inspiration strikes, and deliver exceptional content for any screen in any format.
A yearly subscription to Creative Cloud can cost a student about 260 dollars. ”Students should take advantage of what Penn State has invested in,” said Adobe senior solutions consultant Steve Adler, “because the university has invested in their futures and potential.”
Penn State students and faculty now have free access to some of the most innovative and useful technologies capable of helping students improve their digital fluency. Creative Cloud contains hundreds of online video tutorials designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced experience levels.
Tech Tutors were also on-site, to inform students that Creative Cloud software training is offered on campus to interested students. For more information, visit lynda.psu.edu
